Jamie Bruhn is a Wisconsin-based, multi-faceted musician, songwriter, producer, vocalist and bassist with a career spanning over 35 years. Originally from Minneapolis, he has built a diverse musical reputation rooted in jazz, R&B, hard rock, and pop. As of 2026, Jamie has performed over 700 live shows with The Lizardz and other groups.

Bruhn is perhaps best known for his long-standing role as a bassist and vocalist with the band The Lizardz, which he joined in 2008. The band’s history dates back to the late 1980s, and they have released several albums, including Eyeblinder (2013)—which featured collaborations with Blue Öyster Cult legend Donald "Buck Dharma" Roeser—River to Nowhere (2018), and Memoria (2022).

Beyond his work with The Lizardz, Bruhn is highly collaborative, having worked with artists such as John Shirley, John "Rabbit" Bundrick (known for his work with The Who, Bob Marley, and Pink Floyd), Chris Pinnick (Chicago), Ric Parnell (Spinal Tap, Atomic Rooster, Toni Basil), Jerry King (Cloud Over Jupiter, Moon X), Pete Thompson (Robin Trower, Robert Plant)and various members of Blue Öyster Cult including Joe Bouchard and Richie Castellano.

His resume includes work with the group The Dukes of 1987, Cloud Over Jupiter, and numerous movie soundtracks and radio jingles.

A significant portion of Bruhn’s career focus is on songwriting, recording, and production. He has operated his own studio and has sought out world-class environments to refine his work, including:

• Abbey Road Studios (London): Where he and The Lizardz Mark Larson worked with engineer Alex Wharton to master Eyeblinder.

• Wisseloord Studios (Amsterdam): Where he worked with Grammy-winning mastering engineer Darcy Proper while completing his solo album.

Throughout his career, Bruhn has traveled extensively, performing across the United States and in Jamaica, bringing a wide range of influences to his production and live music projects. His original music can be heard world-wide on most streaming platforms.
